There might be good news from Elgato:

In the eyetv beta forum “http://forums.elgato.com/viewtopic.php?f=102&t=1504#p7478” (you have to register) there is a beta for Eyetv 3.0.1 available where “xmltv” is an EPG option (in beta 31).
There are no details yet, but when somebody asked about it, the reply (from Elgato) was:

“We’ll have more details on that shortly, but basically it’s a new facility to allow third-party developers to create solutions for linking EyeTV to other EPG sources.”

This looks promising

Maybe…
But as long as there’s no available XMLTV feed for Canada, that doesn’t help that much… SD won’t allow it’s data to be used in EyeTV, and there’s no other providers that provides Canadians listing at this time, so…
But at least we’ll have a “supported” way to input EPG data in EyeTV.

I installed EyeTV 3.0.1 and it indeed can use XML files created with xmltv!
It works quite well.
So for those using XMLTV, there is no more need for EyeTV EPG Proxy…
EEP was really useful to me. Thanks Guillaume! And this support might allow new features.
